Since he was still a Major General in 2007, Lieutenant General Ke Da has served as the Deputy Secretary General of Cambodia’s National Authority for the Prohibition of Chemical, Nuclear, Biological, and Radiological Weapons (NACW). He started his military career in 1980 as a soldier at the General Commissioner of Politic of Cambodia’s Ministry of Defence. In 1984, he successfully completed the Secondary Officer Course in Armament of Air-Defence at the Odessa Military High School in the former Soviet Union. Afterwards, he served in different positions at the Ministry of Defence: From being an Officer of the Armament Office of the Department of Technique in 1984, he became the department’s director from 1999-2007. While serving as the Director of the Department of Technique, Lt. Gen. Da was able to finish in 2002 a bachelor’s degree in Economic Science at the Faculty of Law and Economics, Cambodia, now known as the Royal University of Law and Economics. Continuing his studies, he graduated in 2004 with a master’s degree in Economic Science from Chamroeun University of Poly-Technology.
