Captain Mohamad Said Masri was born in Saif Aldawlah, Aleppo in 1981, he studied Law at Aleppo University and graduated in 2004. During his law studies, Mr. Masri joined the Police Faculty, District Director course, and graduated as a first lieutenant year 2005 to serve as a Chief Assistant of Al Raqqa Central Prison branch.
In 2008, he was admitted to the High National Institute of Public Administration (INA) in Damascus and graduated with a High Degree in Public Administration. Mr. Masri participated in the protests since the revolutionary movement has started in Aleppo City and used his position as an officer in ridding the protesters from the regime grip, secure the tear gas bombs to protect themselves, film the demonstrations and give them to the activists. He also contributed in helping the protesters who were arrested and put in the Regime prisons in Raqqa city.
He defected from Raqqa Central Prison in July 7th, 2012 to support the Syrian people and alleviate the injustice off them and to achieve the goals of the Syrian Revolution.
He headed form Aleppo to Raqqa City where the Free Army hadn’t entered the city yet, after that, he headed to the Northern suburbs to cooperate with Central Committee to support the revolutionary movement. Mr. Mohamad Masri has contributed in the forming of the revolutionary police stations in the liberated areas of Aleppo, and cooperated with the Free Police leadership to regulate these stations.
With the intensification of the fighting against regime forces, he worked with many military battalions, one of them was Manbej Revolutionary Battalion. He also participated in several battles against the Regime Forces, one of them was the battle to free the Alshaaleh Base in Albab district and other battles like Saif Aldawleh and Alramousah and many others…
Mr. Masri also fought against Daesh in the battles of Northern Suburbs like the battles of Dwedan and the Gaz factory and many others. He contributed in the liberating battles of Jarablus, Ikhtreen and Alrai.
Throughout his revolutionary activities, Mr. Masri contributed in giving several courses on the concept of Security Management and Security guards. Mr. Masri was chosen unanimously by the members of the Shura Council of the Noureddin Zinki’ Movement to be a Commander Chief. He worked in the Political Office of the Movement for three months. In addition to that, he took the mission to command the Northern Sector in Aleppo till Jan 27, 2017.
He has defected from Zinki Movement with all the components of his sector because of the emergence of the movement away from the Charter of the Revolution Honor, he announced an independent faction belongs to Levant Legion and his commitment to the principles and the goals of the revolution of the Free Syrian people. Mr. Mohamad Said Masri has participated in many conferences concerning the Syrian Revolution, he participated in the NCT Asia Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November 2016 on ways to counter Non-Conventional Weapons.
